Pune, India – February 5, 2025: Mealawe, a fast-growing food-tech startup, has raised $1 million in funding from a mix of Foreign Direct Investment (FDI), Shark Tank founders, and angel investors linked to Goldman Sachs and Oracle. This investment will fuel Mealawe’s ambitious expansion into 14 cities over the next 10-12 months, with a goal of delivering 1 million meals per month. Currently operating in Pune, Bangalore, Mumbai, and Kota, the company is rapidly scaling its footprint across India.

Since launching in October 2022 under Climbing Seeds Pvt Ltd, Mealawe has seen remarkable growth, now delivering over 30,000 meals monthly. The new capital will be strategically deployed to:

  • Expand women-led kitchens to empower home chefs.
  • Enhance corporate cafeteria solutions for seamless meal services.
  • Strengthen partnerships with organic farmers to ensure premium-quality ingredients.

Redefining Home-Style Meals at Scale

Founded by Rupesh Kumar, along with Pratap Haldar and Nikhil Jain, Mealawe started as a platform connecting home chefs with customers, offering wholesome, homemade-style meals. As the company scales, it is integrating home chefs and women entrepreneurs into structured kitchen setups, creating sustainable economic opportunities while preserving the authenticity of home-cooked food.

To maintain the highest food quality and nutritional standards, Mealawe directly sources organic ingredients such as Bilona Ghee, Wood-Pressed Oils, and Organic Masalas by collaborating with farmers, ensuring both superior taste and sustainable agricultural practices.

Innovative Corporate Meal Solutions

Beyond meal deliveries, Mealawe has developed a corporate cafeteria management platform that enables businesses to provide high-quality meals with zero operational hassle. For smaller companies without physical cafeteria spaces, Mealawe offers a virtual cafeteria solution, ensuring employees can conveniently access fresh, nutritious meals.

Rupesh Kumar, Founder of Mealawe, shared his vision for the company’s future:
“Our mission is to make healthy, homemade-style food accessible to corporate employees, students, senior citizens, and beyond.
