Uklana, 31 January 2023: Honda India Foundation, the CSR arm of all Honda group companies in India, has taken a step to positively impact the lives of people in the 30 villages of Uklana, Haryana.
Aiming to address the issue of water scarcity in Uklana, which is located in a semi-arid belt, the Foundation has donated 30 water tankers, each with a capacity of 5000 liters. This donation will provide a solution to the drinking water and sanitation problems of more than 15,000 households. To commemorate this contribution, a flag-off ceremony was held in the presence of dignitaries such as Shri Anoop Dhanak, Honorable Minister of State, Labour and Employment, Government of Haryana, Shri Rajender Litani, Chairman, Haryana Khadi and Gramodyog Board, Shri Ravinder Sharma, Tehsildar of Uklana and Shri Satyaprakash Patil, Operating Head of Honda India Foundation, along with other representatives from the Government of Haryana and Honda India Foundation.
Speaking on this initiative, Mr. Atsushi Ogata, Chairman, Honda India Foundation (HIF) said, “Honda India Foundation proactively aims to resolve issues that concern the masses. We at HIF are pleased to support the cause with these water tankers to facilitate the availability and accessibility of water in the region.
