Presentations exist in almost facet of business and every type of industry. They are now an integral part of planning, forecasting, selling and showcasing. But making a good presentation – be it design or content – can be a stressful and time consuming job.
Every aspect of your presentation is essential to your success as a presenter, however the design of your slides is especially critical. The design of your presentation will have a major impact on whether you close the deal, win new clients, and generally succeed or fail at influencing the audience effectively.
We exist to liberate you from the stress of transforming your message, idea or data into an engaging visual format.
Tell us about the founders
We are 2 co-founders.
PowerLabs is the brainchild of Sukriti Sachar. The name was born about 2 years ago mainly as a freelance entity. The idea behind the name is two fold – “labs” – a place where we cook up great content – creative yet strategic. The word “Power” derives from PowerPoint and powerful content.
PowerLabs as a company came into existence when I (Rohit Syal), an old colleague of Sukriti’s joined up as the co-founder. We’d both been working with various agencies for the longest time and discovered that a beautiful and practically designed presentation was key to selling an idea.
We soon discovered that we not only understood how to convert data and ideas into great visuals but also loved doing something few people would ever consider as a career.
For us, it’s not just about selling a idea or business – it’s a deeply satisfying medium for story-telling and what are presentations but an exercise in strategic story-telling? it’s all about cutting through the superfluous waffle and crafting an easy to follow, visual journey that both stands out from the crowd and sticks in the mind.
Tell us about the Product / Solution
We actually didn’t go looking for this niche in the market. We only realized that once we were approached by multiple people, through word of mouth, to help in designing engaging presentations.
It is then that we started reaching out to more people, understanding their needs and tailored our offerings and prices to suit the market needs.
What were your assumptions when you entered the market, learnings that you have?
The ideal customer for us is someone who may or may not understand the creative process, but does appreciate it. After all, every creative endeavor is like a partnership, where ideas flow back and forth to finally arrive at the perfect solution.
So someone who is open minded and receptive to ideas is always a great customer to work with.
Industry-wise, we have no preference – whether it’s working with start-ups, corporate entities or agencies – Every project teaches us something new about the world.
