Gurugram, August 4, 2025 — Akzo Nobel India Limited, a leading paints and coatings company and the maker of Dulux Paints, announced its financial results for the first quarter ended June 30, 2025. The company reported a marginal decline in top-line and bottom-line performance but reaffirmed its commitment to growth and shareholder value with a substantial one-time dividend.
Financial Highlights (Q1 FY26 vs Q1 FY25)
- Revenue from operations stood at ₹995.1 crore, down 4% YoY
- EBIT from operations was ₹116.2 crore, down 21%
- Profit After Tax (PAT) came in at ₹91.0 crore, also down 21%
- Special Interim Dividend of ₹156 per share declared
Rajiv Rajgopal, Chairman and Managing Director of Akzo Nobel India, stated, “In Q1 of FY2025‑26, our B2B business continued its growth trajectory, while retail was subdued due to tepid consumer demand and heightened competition. Despite margin pressure, we sustained double-digit profitability and maintained investments in growth initiatives.”
He further added that the special interim dividend was declared to express gratitude to shareholders, and is based on income from the previously approved slump sale.

Akzo Nobel India continued to expand its offerings and initiatives during the quarter:
- Launch of Dulux Maestro: A comprehensive business program for architects and interior designers. With over 2,000 design professionals already onboard across 16 cities, it is expected to reach 40 cities by the end of the fiscal year.
- New Decorative Paints:
- Dulux Velvet Touch Eterna Matte: Ultra-matte, luxury interior finish with a 10-year warranty
- Dulux Weathershield Protect Dustproof Hi-Sheen: Sheen-finish exterior paint to meet rising consumer demand
- Scratch Finish: A high-quality textured exterior solution aimed at independent homeowners
- Protective Coatings Expansion:
- Interdur 1134 (zinc phosphate primer)
- Interdur 1132 (PU topcoat)
Both products enhance anti-corrosive protection for general industry and infrastructure use.

- The company received the “Commendation for Significant Achievement in Corporate Social Responsibility” at the 19th CII-ITC Sustainability Awards, recognizing its efforts in skill development, education, and community healthcare.
- Accelshield™ 700 BPX-Ni, used for internal coatings of beverage can ends, won the FIPSA 2025 Responsible Packaging Award for Commercial Sustainability, presented by the Foundation for Innovative Packaging and Sustainability (FIPS) and the National Institute of Design, Madhya Pradesh.
