International Entrepreneurship Challenge
This is the Flagship event of E-Summit 2017. You have your team, you have your idea, but you’re still looking for opportunities to realize your start-up potential. This is the place where magic happens! Pitch your idea in front of a panel of renowned VCs and investors. The best start-up takes home the prize money! Not only that, you get a chance to build connections, seek the missing ingredient (if any) in your start-up and live your dreams!

Event Structure: International Entrepreneurship Challenge consists of two stages:
Stage 1:

  • The participants are required to register
  • Registration Deadline: 5th February 2017
  • Submit your business idea. A 5-slide presentation that describes your start-up.
  • Acceptable formats – PDF (ppt converted to pdf)

OR
Submission of a 3-minute Video pitch about your start-up. Acceptable formats mp4/avi. Size limit 10 MB

  • Submission Deadline: 5th February 2017
  • Results Declaration: 7th February 2017
  • Shortlisted teams make it through to the next round
  • E-mail your submission with file named “IEC_TeamName.pdf” to ecell@fms.edu with subject line “IEC Stage 1 TeamName”

Stage 2 (On campus):

  • Submission of a full fledged pitch of your start-up to be presented on 11th February 2017
  • Panel consisting of Investors, Accelerators and other partners to judge the ventures
  • Slide limit: 10 slides
  • Time limit: 10 minutes for presentation and 5 minute for Q&A with the panel
  • Submission Deadline: 09th February 2017
  • On campus presentation and results declaration: 11th February 2017

Rules:

  • The competition is open for students from both undergraduate and post-graduate courses and entrepreneurs
  • The team can comprise of participants from different institutes/organizations.
  • In case of plagiarism, late submission or unavailability during presentation the team maybe disqualified.
  • The final decision lies with the organizers and by participating you confirm to abide by the rules of the competition and the decision of the organizing team.

Responsible Entrepreneur
in association with Vihaan – The Social Service Cell
Making money that you completely own is a perk of entrepreneurship. But are you a socially responsible entrepreneur? Can you develop a startup to empower the weakened sections of society? Pitch us a start up idea which besides making money will leave a real impact on society – a sustainable business model aimed at giving back to society.

Event Structure: The Responsible Entrepreneur event consists of two stages:
Stage 1:

  • The participants are required to register
  • Round One consist of submitting a 5 slide presentation named in the format “Responsible_TeamName.pdf” (converted from ppt). Teams must submit their presentation to ecell@fms.edu with Subject line – “Responsible Stage 1 TeamName”.
  • Criteria for Evaluation:

The participants are expected to cover the following three aspects-
o Social Impact
o Financial Sustainability
o Scalability
 Last Date for Registration – 5th February 2017
 Deadline for Submission of presentation: 5th February 2017

Stage 2:

  • The shortlisted teams are required to submit their detailed presentations (Maximum 10 slides) before 9th February 2017
  • Shortlisted Teams will present their plan in front of a panel of judges at FMS
  • The presentation will be followed by a Q&A round by judges
  • The idea would be judged based on its Social Impact, Financial Sustainability and Scalability.

Rules:

  • The competition is open for students from both undergraduate and post-graduate courses and entrepreneurs
  • The participating team can consist of maximum of 3 Members (At least 2 members must be present for the on-campus presentation if shortlisted for the final round)
  • The team can comprise of participants from different institutes/organizations.
  • In case of plagiarism, late submission or unavailability during presentation will lead to disqualification.
  • The final decision lies with the organizers and by participating you confirm to abide by the rules of the competition and the decision of the organizing team.

Frugal Start-up. Not all are born with a silver spoon. In the real world you have to work under money constraints. Can your savings fund your own start-up? Not all start-ups require million dollar investments. Show us the wild entrepreneurial streak inside you and display how you work under constraints. With 20k in your pocket, plan out the best startup idea with this limited budget and win exciting prizes.

Event Structure: The Frugal Startup competition consists of two stages:

Stage 1:

  • The participants are required to register
  • Round One consists of submitting a 5 slide presentation named in the format “Frugal_TeamName.pdf”. Teams must submit their presentations to ecell@fms.edu with Subject Name – “Frugal Stage 1 Submission TeamName”.
  • The presentation should broadly consist of:
    o Idea Description
    o Target Market and Need gap
    o Timeline for Implementation
    o Practical feasibility
    o Budget and Revenue Model
    o Any other useful information
  • Last Date for Registration – 5th February 2017
  • Deadline for Submission of presentation: 5th February 2017

Stage 2:

  • The shortlisted teams are required to submit their detailed presentations (Max 10 slides) before 7th February 2017 and present their business plan in front of the panel of judges (10 mins) at E-Summit, FMS.
  • The presentation will be followed up by Q&A round by the judges (5 mins).
  • The idea would be judged based on its scope of growth, ease of implementation, scalability and effectiveness.

Rules:

  • The competition is open for students from both undergraduate and post-graduate courses and entrepreneurs
  • The participating team can consist of maximum of 2 members (Both members to be present for campus round if shortlisted)
  • The team can comprise of participants from different institutes/organizations.
  • The budget for your B-Plan should not exceed ₹20,000
  • In case of plagiarism, late submission or unavailability during presentation the team maybe disqualified.
  • The final decision lies with the organizers and by participating you confirm to abide by the rules of the competition and the decision of the organizing team.

Entrepreneurship Conference
“ Indian Startup Promise: Running Out of Steam? ” Hear it from the horses’ mouths. A panel of renowned entrepreneurs, VCs and Investors shoot from the hip, discussing contemporary start-up issues and throwing light onto the unfamiliar.

Entry by Registration Only. Registration Starts 3rd February.

New Age Innovators
New Age Innovators is a Founder’s Talk series featuring founders of Start-ups which are changing the face of Entrepreneurship in our country by coming up with never seen before Innovations. The founders would be sharing their experiences as well as the challenges faced by them while building their Start-up with an audience comprised of undergraduate & post-graduate students, budding entrepreneurs and other entrepreneurship enthusiasts.

  • Entry by Registration Only. Registration Starts 3rd February.
