6th October 2021: After the highly successful opening session yesterday, the “ICC India Startup Week” is ready with lot of attraction for the startup fraternity. Today on day 2, mainly the financial aspects of startup ecosystem will be discussed focusing mainly on credit access.

India Start-up Week by Indian Chamber of Commerce commences from October 4-9, 2021

Availability of credit has always been a challenge for startups from the very beginning. In spite of having innovative ideas, technological know-how, many startups could not see the sunlight due to lack of required fund. Institutional funds from the banking system and FIs have really been a hard task for the startups. Realising this constraint Central government and many State governments developed “Fund of funds” dedicated mainly for the Startups on easy terms and conditions. New startups have also forayed into financial sector supplying credit.

Today, the programme will start from 1:00 pm with ‘Startup Pitches for Investment’. After that there is a panel discussion on “Banks on Startups – Sharing the Mission and Vision.” Important speakers of the day will include Mr. S Rengarajan, ICC BFSI Committee, Mr. Prasanna Lohar, Head – Innovation, Development Credit Bank, Mr. Subhendu Dhara, Industrial Development Manager, Indian Bank, Mr. Anubhav Goel, Head, Digital Innovation, HDFC Ergo, Mr. Mohit Gulati, Chief Investment Officer, ITI VC etc.

India Start Up week – Day 2

The program will be followed by a session on: “Innovation Sandbox – SEBI’s View” by Shri Avneesh Pandey, CGM, SEBI. A deliberation on “Thinking within the ‘Sandbox’” by Shri Anuj Ranjan, General Manager – Fintech, RBI feat and Mr. Sanjeev Pandey, MD & CEO, eroute Technologies. The next session will be on: Ideation to IPO – the startups’ journey by Ajay Thakur, Head SME & Start Ups, BSE.

Ms. Sanjukta Badhai, Evangelist & GM-Startup Odisha, Dept. of MSME and Md. Sadique Alam, IAS, Director of Industries & CEO, Startup Odisha, will make a presentation on behalf of the state of Odisha. Mr. Inderdeep Singh, Chairman, Northern Region Development Council and Mr. Rishirendra Kumar (IAS), Managing Director – UP Electronics Corp. will make a joint presentation about the State of Uttar Pradesh to end day’s programme.
