LOTS by Lawyered: New App Provides Instant Legal Support for Private Vehicle Owners

October 2024: Lawyered, India’s first on-road legal assistance platform, has announced the launch of its flagship product – LOTS (Lawyer On-The-Spot) for private vehicle owners. This innovative app provides instant legal support to help users manage common on-road legal issues such as challans, accidents, and thefts, empowering vehicle owners with quick, reliable legal assistance.

Currently, many individuals struggle with on-road legal challenges such as traffic fines and vehicle theft. In major cities like Bangalore, Delhi, and Gurugram, thousands of challans are issued daily, while in Delhi, a vehicle is stolen every 12 minutes. The process of resolving these issues is often complicated due to a lack of understanding of legal procedures and the difficulty in accessing legal assistance. Recognizing this gap, Lawyered initially launched its on-road legal service for truck drivers and transporters, offering end-to-end support for challan resolution and legal issues. Now, the company has expanded this offering to private vehicle owners with the LOTS platform.

Himanshu Gupta, Founder of Lawyered, shared his enthusiasm for the new launch: “Entering the private vehicle segment allows us to fill a critical gap in on-road legal support for individuals. With LOTS, we empower vehicle owners to tackle legal challenges on the road confidently. Our goal is to offer peace of mind by giving users immediate access to legal expertise whenever and wherever they need it.”

Abhishek Gupta, General Secretary of AITWA, added, “LOTS has already been a game-changer for truck drivers, helping them address on-road issues. Now, private vehicle owners can benefit from the same level of support, which not only enhances road safety but ensures timely assistance in crucial situations.”

LOTS24x7 by Lawyered enables users to check and manage pending challans, report incidents, and track the progress of their cases in real time. With a network of over 75,000 lawyers across India, the platform provides tailored, on-the-spot legal solutions for incidents like accidents, vehicle seizures, and theft, ensuring users have all the tools they need to handle on-road legal challenges.

Even before its official launch, Lawyered has onboarded over 40,000 private vehicles through B2B2C partnerships. The company has partnered with FADA (Federation of Automobile Dealers Associations) to onboard customers through dealerships nationwide, with every vehicle sold at these dealerships including a LOTS membership, supporting rapid scalability.

Manish Raj Singhania, Chairperson of FADA Academy, commented, “Having seen LOTS in action, I’m confident it offers the on-the-spot legal solutions customers have long needed. Now, with its focus on private vehicle owners, LOTS will resolve their on-road issues with the same reliability and effectiveness.”

To boost the scalability of LOTS24x7, Lawyered is exploring partnerships with insurance companies and financial institutions to bundle on-road legal support with vehicle insurance policies. The platform is also engaging with fleet management companies and automotive tech platforms to integrate LOTS into their ecosystems, delivering a comprehensive vehicle management solution.

The LOTS24x7 app will be available across India, with an initial focus on metropolitan cities such as Delhi NCR, Mumbai, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Chandigarh, Chennai, and Kolkata, where the demand for on-road legal support is highest. Expansion plans include Tier 1 and Tier 2 cities and regional markets.

The app is available for download on both the Google Play Store and iOS App Store, offering a complimentary three-month trial period followed by a nominal subscription fee.
