MUMBAI, INDIA – May 12, 2025 – Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Tier II and Tier III cities have reported an average 20% increase in revenue after joining the Open Network for Digital Commerce (ONDC), according to new data from Easy Pay. This growth reflects the impact of digital enablement among small businesses onboarded through Easy Pay’s tailored integration services. Rajasthan, Gujarat, and Maharashtra led the surge in MSME adoption of ONDC.
Over the past year, Easy Pay has seen a sharp rise in MSME participation on the ONDC platform and is poised to onboard over 1 lakh (100,000) businesses by the end of FY 2026–27.
“Our mission is clear: to make digital commerce accessible and inclusive for every MSME, regardless of size or location,” said Nilay Patel, Founder and Managing Director of Easy Pay. “ONDC is redefining how small businesses compete, and we’re proud to help them thrive—from storefront creation to payments and data insights. We make their digital journey simple, scalable, and sustainable.”
Real-World Impact Across Small Cities
Success stories highlight the tangible benefits of ONDC onboarding. A local jewellery store in Pune doubled its order volume and income within three months.
“Previously, our customer base was just our neighborhood. Today, we receive orders from across states—something we never thought possible,” said the store owner.
In Rajasthan, a local chips seller made headlines by selling 1,200 packets in one hour during an ONDC-led city campaign.
“ONDC gave us real-time order management, inventory sync, and payment solutions—all of which helped us scale like never before. We finally feel like we’re competing nationally,” the vendor shared.
Ground-Level Enablement Strategy
Easy Pay’s grassroots approach involves:
- Door-to-door outreach by field agents
- Workshops in regional languages
- On-demand support for digital tools
- A full-stack solution suite including storefront setup, payment integration, access to capital, and analytics tools
This model is especially effective in semi-urban and rural areas where businesses face infrastructure and tech adoption barriers.
Looking ahead, Easy Pay plans to onboard 50,000 additional MSMEs by FY 2025–26, furthering its mission to democratize access to digital commerce.
“Our partnership with ONDC proves that commerce in India can be democratic, decentralized, and driven by small-town entrepreneurs,” added Patel. “We are proud to serve as a digital bridge for India’s resilient MSME sector.”
