Smart Start Guwahati – New Sun Rise for Startup of North East

Guwahati, November 12th 2018: Parivartan 2018, 3E Entrepreneurs and Start-up Conclave introduced “Smart Start- Guwahati”, on 10th November 2018 in NEDFi Convention Centre. This event marked as the initiation of the entrepreneurship activation among the youth of the North-East States.

Dr. Abha Rishi (CEO, AIC BIMTECH) undertook the Idea Generation Workshop, which made the participants aware of the basic fact, that no idea is a bad idea. Mr. Mukesh Malik (Partner, ah! Ventures) took the stage to made young minds aware of the pitfalls on a start-up. Mr. Bibin Babu (Blockchain Evangelist and TedX Speaker) created awareness about the opportunities of block chain technology in the innovations and entrepreneurial ecosystem. Mr. Amit Singal (Founder, Startup Buddy) explained some fundamental laws and compliances to be taken care of when starting their entrepreneurial journey.

Mr. Manoj Kumar Das (DGM, North Eastern Development Finance Corporation Limited) was chaired as Guest of Honor for “Smart Start”. He explained the various schemes and resources available for entrepreneurs at NEDFI and shared various experiences about his entrepreneurial journey with the audience. He also appreciated the efforts made by the organizing committee to create and develop the startup ecosystem in North East.

Many partners like Startup Buddy, Atal Incubation Centre-BIMTECH, PayU Money, Blockspace, Young Indians, F6S, CIMSME, Ah Ventures, Metaconnect, Dikshita Innovations are taking an active participation in it.

Mr. Amit Singal (CEO, Startup Buddy) was excited about the event. He says, “This is just the start of the journey to the next Parivartan, scheduled to take place in 2019, when we will amp the scale and mobilize the entire community towards self-sustainable startups at North East Region.”

Dr. Abha Rishi (CEO, Atal Incubation Centre-BIMTECH) appreciated this initiative. She says, “The people here are eager to catch the entrepreneurial bus. We are looking forward to providing support and enabling them to fulfill their aspirations.”

Closing ceremony was led by Mr. Ratul Kalita (Global President, 3E Foundation) where he thanked all the partners, speakers and audience. He announced a new initiative “Startup Valley Hub” to create Launch Pad for Startups in the North-East India. He specially thanked Doordarshan North-East for their presence and decision to cover the event on Television.
