Titan and Tata Trusts Announce One of India’s Largest Programs in Support of Product Designs That Cause Social Change, With Grants Upto Rs 65 Lakhs Per Project

The Design:Impact Awards (DIA) by Titan, in collaboration with Tata Trusts, has been conceptualized to recognize, celebrate and support innovative product designs that cause positive social change.

Titan and Tata Trusts Announce One of India’s Largest Programs in Support of Product Designs That Cause Social Change, With Grants Upto Rs 65 Lakhs Per Project

Winners have the opportunity to upscale their product’s reach and impact. The program will provide financial grants up to Rs. 65 lakhs per project alongwith advocacy, recognition and mentorship. At later stages, grant recipients will be given the opportunity to apply for additional seed capital up to a similar amount as the grant and opportunity for networking for further funding.

DIA is an engagement – driven program. At multiple stages of screening, the program will engage with participants. Shortlisted participants will get to attend workshops, bootcamps, interviews and other engagements, adding value to a large number of participants.

It is a pan-India program and entries from any sector are encouraged. Product design innovators and teams with prototyped and tested products focusing on social needs may apply. For example, entrepreneurs focused on social product innovation, individuals, or small teams within large organisations working on a specific product innovation, students working as individuals or small teams, grassroots Innovators and innovators residing outside India who wish to implement their products in India.

A set of services related with tangible / hard products, with products being at the core of the solution provided also qualify. For e.g. Reviving a traditional handicraft (which involves various services with handicraft products being at the core) also qualifies.

The program is currently accepting applications and the deadline is the 31st of October, 2017.
