Mumbai, July 24, 2025 — Insurtech pioneer Bharatsure has raised ₹6 crore in a funding round led by Inflection Point Ventures (IPV), with participation from Capital A and Atrium Angels. The round marks a pivotal milestone for the startup, enabling it to expand its infrastructure-as-a-service (IaaS) insurance offerings nationwide.

The funding arrives as Bharatsure partners with Battery Smart, India’s largest battery-swapping network for electric two- and three-wheelers, to launch a first-of-its-kind insurance program tailored for EV station operators. The policy will protect against natural disasters such as floods, fires, and earthquakes, while also offering personal accident coverage—addressing vital gaps in safety and resilience.

“In a world that doesn’t always go according to plan, insurance doesn’t just offer protection—it carries the burden of social responsibility,” said Mitesh Shah, Co-founder, IPV.

Co-founded by Anuj Parekh (IIM Bangalore, CA) and Sanil Basutkar (ISB, CA), Bharatsure has insured over 2 lakh lives and processed more than 10,000 claims while maintaining a stellar 4.9/5.0 Google rating. In FY25, the company broke even at CM3, doubled revenues, and now targets INR 100 crore by FY28 and INR 1,000 crore by FY34.

“Our station partners are the frontline of India’s sustainable mobility push,” said Anuj Parekh, CEO of Bharatsure. “This partnership ensures they have real protection in place.”

Battery Smart currently operates 1,500+ stations and works with over 70,000 drivers across 50+ cities, forming the backbone of India’s green transportation network.

“This isn’t just asset protection—it’s livelihood empowerment,” said Sumi Jain, AVP – Network Strategy and Operations, Battery Smart.

Inflection Point Ventures has invested over ₹800 crore in more than 220 startups to date, underscoring its commitment to scalable, impact-driven innovation.
